Full original description
We are hiring an Exceptional Generalist to work directly with Matt on whatever matters most. Some months that's launching a cohort of new practices. Others it's standing up a vendor network, running a pricing experiment, or turning a messy manual process into an automated one.
You'll own outcomes, not a function. You'll move across operations, growth, commercial, and finance, go deep fast, and leave behind systems that run without you. This role is built for someone who could be a founder, a future executive at Vye, or both.
We're intentionally small and intentionally AI-native. We plan in Linear, measure in PostHog, record and synthesize customer conversations in Grain, and use Claude and Claude Code to move from idea to working system fast. You'll be expected to build, not just coordinate: queries, dashboards, automations, and lightweight tools.
Your key results change as the company does. At any moment you'll own 1 to 3 of our highest-priority outcomes, set with Matt each cycle and tied directly to our North Star.
Practice launches: Run new provider launches end to end, from credentialing and payer enrollment through website, scheduling, and first patients.
Operations at scale: Stand up and automate the operational backbone: lab accounts and ordering, imaging and sleep study vendors, payer contract management, and provider support.
Growth experiments: Design and run experiments on pricing, packaging, lab offers, and conversion from intro call to membership.
Customer research: Talk to providers and patients, synthesize what you learn, and turn it into decisions.
Strategic projects: Build the analysis, model, or plan behind our biggest decisions, from state expansion to new partnerships.
Automation first: Find work done by hand and replace it with systems, in partnership with engineering.
Exceptional track record: You've been a top performer wherever you've been, as a founder, operator, Chief of Staff, BizOps lead, or consultant.
Extreme ownership: You take a vague problem, define it, and drive it to done without being told how.
Structured thinking: You break down ambiguous problems quickly and communicate crisply in writing.
Technical enough to build: You're comfortable with SQL, spreadsheets, and AI coding tools, and you'd rather build the tool than request it.
Comfort with customers: You're credible on the phone with physicians, patients, and vendors.
AI at the core: You reach for AI instinctively to move faster and do more.
Nice to have: Healthcare operations experience; early-stage startup experience; founding experience.
Meaningful early equity in a well-positioned health-tech company
A competitive base salary of $143,000 to $172,000 USD, commensurate with experience, along with meaningful equity and benefits. We benchmark against San Francisco market rates.
Fully remote, async-friendly culture with regular video syncs, plus an optional office in San Francisco
Quarterly in-person offsites with the entire team
Direct collaboration with founders and a chance to shape the company from the ground up
